Wu Shukun, member of the China Theatre Association and Beijing Drama Association, is an actress at the Beijing People's Art Theater. With fifty years of experience in stage arts, her character creations are vivid and stylish, as seen in roles like Zhao Siniang in the Beijing People's Art classic play "Lady Zhao" and Wu Tai-tai in "Three Dollars," the wealthy widow in "The Wise Forsee a Single Blunder," and Grandma Pang in "Teahouse." She brings life to the stage regardless of the role's size. Her portrayal of Grandma Cui in the play "Happy with More Than Enough" won her the Performance Award at the 1982 Beijing Municipal Cultural Bureau's New Creative (Adaptation) Drama Program Evaluation. She also won first prizes for performances in plays like "Teahouse" in 1979, "Neighbors" in 1980, and "Xianheng Hotel" in 1982.
