Yao Erga, born Yao Jianguo in Beijing in 1967, used to make a living by selling meat pies in the southern part of Beijing's Nancheng Puhuangyu. He had a passion for acting and participated in acting training classes, starting out as an extra.
Yao Erga was given the stage name by Chen Peisi, and his entry into the entertainment industry was through Chen Peisi's recommendation. He has been involved in voice dubbing for works like "The Peony Lantern," and collaborated with Chen Peisi in TV series like "The Young Master's Trials" and "Marching Towards a New Life." He also worked with Ma Jingwu in the comedy film series of Amang, and delivered outstanding performances in films like "Start-Stop," Amang comedy series "Love Gun as Life," and Jiang Wen's "In the Heat of the Sun." He passed away in 2002 due to a drug overdose.
