Fang Hua, a Chinese actor. Born in Huangnichuan Village on the outskirts of Dalian, he started as a sound recording assistant at the age of 20. After the liberation of Northeast China, he joined the Northeast Film Studio. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, he worked as an actor in Beijing Film Studio and Changchun Film Studio. He gained fame for his role as Captain Song Ji in the movie "Guerilla in the Plain," and later portrayed Japanese invaders in multiple roles. His last work was in Jiang Wen's film "In the Heat of the Sun." After the downfall of the Gang of Four, Fang Hua's usual approach caused him to lose interest in playing villainous roles, until Jiang Wen warmly invited him to play a senior military general in "In the Heat of the Sun," a role that sparked his interest, and he gladly accepted. Although many of his scenes were cut in this movie, leaving only a few minutes, it marked a fulfilling end to his later acting career!
