Liu Yan, a Chinese mainland actress. Graduated from the Drama Department of the PLA Academy of Arts. In 1982, she participated in the filming of the movie 'Sunset Street'. After graduation, she was assigned to work at the Urumqi Military Region Drama Troupe. In the 1980s, she played important roles in several films such as 'Relatives' and 'Looking for Dragons'. She also appeared in TV series such as 'Empresses in the Palace'.
