Leanne Liu (born November 12, 1959), a famous actress, was born in Beijing.
She moved to Hong Kong with her parents at a young age. After graduating from high school in 1978, Liu entered Chang Cheng Films Company and later joined Shaw Brothers, appearing in films like "Enemy", "Can't Help Falling in Love", and "Sudden Love". In the mid-1980s, when many Taiwanese actors were filming in Hong Kong, she moved in the opposite direction to Taiwan and starred in works by Qiong Yao for five consecutive years, such as "The Setting Sun", "Misty Rain", "Beside the Water", and "Deep in the Courtyard". In terms of costume dramas, she is best known for the 36-episode epic drama "Young Empress Dowager" (ATV Hong Kong). In terms of relationships, Liu was once in a relationship with Liu De Kai. In 1995, Liu had a miscarriage and separated from Liu De Kai. On September 19, 1999, she married the famous screenwriter Deng Yukun, a marriage that lasted until Deng Yukun tragically passed away from falling off a building in Shanghai on July 4, 2011.
