Lau Shek Yin, born in Hong Kong, native of Guangzhou, Guangdong, is a contracted artist of Asia Television. He graduated from the Drama Department (Director) of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1985. He was once a scriptwriter at TVB and switched to Asia Television in 1988. In the early days of ATV, he often appeared in TV dramas on the channel. As ATV reduced drama production due to successive losses, he now mostly hosts programs and is recognized as a powerhouse of ATV.
Due to weighing 100 kilograms, he is nicknamed 'Fat Lau.'
