Prior to becoming an actor, Yang Kaichun studied classical music for six years. Due to fortuitous circumstances, he changed his major and was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama. He entered the undergraduate acting department in 2005 and graduated in 2009. In 2011, he participated in the TV series "Empresses in the Palace" playing the character Jianqiu, having significant scenes opposite Tavia Yeung. His portrayal of the loyal and sinister character, coupled with a unique appearance, left a deep impression on the audience. The same year, he starred in the first costume drama produced by Ruby Lin, "Queen of Clouds", playing Yunzhu, a close sisterly companion to Lin's character. Yang Kaichun's portrayal of lively characters, his comedic timing, and his memorable lines left a lasting impact on viewers. In 2013, he took part in the reality show "Star Diving Cube" hosted by Jiangsu TV. Yang Kaichun's dedication, authenticity, resilience, and refusal to give up during training deeply moved many viewers.
