Cai Yijia, also known as Cai Zhengjun, was born on June 25, 1996 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. He is a mainland Chinese actor who attended the undergraduate dual-degree program in acting at the Central Academy of Drama's 2015 class (graduated in the 2016 class due to personal reasons).
In 1996, Cai Yijia was born into a family of civil servants in Fuzhou, where his father is a police officer. During elementary school, Cai Yijia enrolled in a children's host interest class and was later selected by a teacher from the Provincial People's Art Theatre to participate in a performance of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, sparking his interest in acting.
In 2015, Cai Yijia enrolled in the dual-degree program in drama, film, and television acting offered by the Central Academy of Drama in collaboration with the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, studying abroad in Russia. In 2016, he signed with Beijing Evergrande Century Culture & Art Development Co., Ltd. (contract now terminated). In 2017, he starred in the youth inspirational drama "Our Youth" and began his acting career; that same year, he appeared in the historical drama "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace." In 2018, he acted in the urban youth romance drama "Probably Love." In 2019, he appeared in the Republican-era drama "Scarlet Heart: The Story of Bu Bu Jing Qing." In 2020, he starred in the urban romance drama "Probably Love 2." In 2021, he appeared in the web drama "Dear Little Mermaid."
