Zhang Li was born in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and graduated from the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art. She is a mainland Chinese actress.
She enlisted in 1991 and worked in the General Equipment Department for nineteen years. She has visited the most difficult areas in the country for performance and has been named an outstanding actress by the command for over a decade. Representative works include the films "Hotpot and Noodles" and the TV dramas "Under the Sun", "To the End of Summer", "Chasing Marriage", and "Meteor Garden".
