Hong Kong female host, actress, and model. Winner of the 2012 International Chinese Beauty Pageant, currently an artist under TVB management. Kelly Cheung attended Delvonn School in primary school. She emigrated to Chicago, USA with her family after completing the fourth grade of primary school. She then graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago Campus with a degree in business management. In 2011, she participated in the 'Chicago Chinese Business Association Miss Friendship Pageant' and won the championship and Miss Photogenic. The following year, in January, she represented Chicago in the '2012 International Chinese Beauty Pageant' in Hong Kong. She became the first Chicago beauty to win the championship in a relatively unknown manner. In July and August 2012, she represented Hong Kong in the '2012 Miss World' competition and ranked well in several individual events, becoming the best performing Hong Kong representative in 25 years. In 2017, she also began livestreaming computer games such as 'Resident Evil 7 Biohazard' and 'Honour of Kings' on Twitch under the name 'kellycheung'. In April 2010, she went to Hong Kong for development and worked as a model at ELITE Model Management (formerly Primo Model Management), winning the 'Best New Model Award of 2010'. She has served as a model and appeared in advertisements for various famous brands, most notably for Mannings in 2011. Kelly Cheung was dubbed the 'replica Yiu Kwan' by the Hong Kong media during her participation in the 2012 International Chinese Beauty Pageant. When asked by reporters if she thought she resembled Yiu, she candidly replied, 'As long as I look pretty, I'm happy.' Due to the Miss World competition being held in August 2012, TVB was unable to send a new Miss Hong Kong to compete. The 2011 Miss Hong Kong, Rebecca Zhu, had limited proficiency in English and could not divide her attention due to filming commitments. First runner-up Sharon Chan and second runner-up Sire Ma represented Hong Kong in the Miss World competition and the Miss International competition in 2011. As a result, Kelly Cheung represented Hong Kong in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia, China. She became the third International Chinese Beauty Pageant champion from Hong Kong to participate in Miss World after Michelle Reis in 1988 and Selena Li in 2000, and the first International Chinese Beauty Pageant champion to compete in Miss World as a result of winning the International Chinese Beauty Pageant (non-Hong Kong representative beauties) (Michelle Reis and Selena Li participated as Miss Hong Kong champions). After participating in Miss World, she shot her first microfilm 'WHITE' with Jesper & Friends and played the female lead. This microfilm won four awards in 'The Hong Kong 48 Hour Film Project': 'Best Performance,' 'Best Script,' 'Best Sound Effects,' and 'Audience Favorite.' After stepping down, she signed a management contract with TVB, immediately gained popularity, and became the host of 'Pearl Tonight' on the Mingzhu Channel's 'Hong Kong Life, Enjoyment' and the 'Pearl Tonight' segment on the Jiazi Channel's 'Looking East, West.' In 2016, she gained attention for her role as 'Libby' in her first TVB drama 'The Great Entrepreneur'.
