Zhang Gong, a member of Zhejiang Yueju Opera Troupe, later turned to be a film and television actor. He was originally an actor in Zhejiang Wuju Troupe. Due to his handsome appearance and good foundation in both literature and martial arts, he joined Zhejiang Yueju Opera Troupe in 1980. Specializing in young scholar roles, he was associated with the Zongyin (Guifang) style. After joining the troupe, he played roles such as Li Shangyuan in the drama 'The Regret of Leaving the Palace'. He later focused more on acting in television dramas, gaining wide social influence.
