Gao Weiguang was born on January 16, 1983 in Mishan City, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from the Performance Department of the Central Academy of Drama and is a mainland Chinese actor and model.
In 2006, he won the runner-up in the national finals of the New Silk Road China Model Competition. In 2014, he gained recognition for his role as Yin Qianshang in the fantasy drama 'The Legend of Sword.' In 2017, he became well-known for portraying Dong Hua Emperor in the mythology drama 'Eternal Love.' In 2019, his acting in the suspense drama 'Joy of Life' earned him more acclaim, and he won the Best Actor award for modern Chinese TV dramas at the 26th Huading Awards.
